DONATE BUSINESS ATTIRE TO SUPPORT NEW YORK CITY STUDENT CAREER DEVELOPMENT

PENCIL is collaborating with Virtual Enterprises International (VE) to support career awareness and job readiness among New York City public high school students.

Pioneered through the New York City Department of Education in 1996, the VE program provides public high school students with the opportunity to experience in a simulated business environment all facets of being an employee in a firm.

The VE program provides opportunities for students to participate in college and professional activities, including competitions, workshops, college courses, career fairs, travel, and internship opportunities.

VE has established a clothing library where students can "borrow" clothing needed for attendance at professional activities including internship and college interviews. This library is in response to a critical need of students who decline or hesitate to participate in VE professional opportunities because of a lack of appropriate business attire.

Donations of blazers, khaki slacks, white shirts, ties, and women’s suits are accepted and can be sent to:
